hey!
so its my official last day of work in the lab for the summer. I cannot belive i have been here for over 2 months already. time flies.
anyways to wrap up this part of the summer i have to say its been awesome. The people I have met are the highlight of my summer, they are amazing! all you HCBS people are awesome and i love each and every one of you!!
Last night was my last HC for the summer, and when school starts up everyone kinda dispurses into there own minstry of choice.. i will miss geneva very much!!
Last night Dave Shih, a friend from home, was coming through kingston on his way up to NS to see his brother and we got a chance to hang out. It was a blast, we talked about lab work almost the whole time but it was awesome to have someone who understands the stuff i am doing and the frustrations that go along with it. lol
I am getting more and more excited for the wedding!! I got my dress in the mail last week and it fits great! i am looking forward to time at CU and to see my 2 very good friends get married!! :)
I am soo excited to be going home, but found out today that VIA rail may be going on strike as of tmrw, go figure the day before I am supposed to be taking the train home...but no worries my mom and dad are probably just going to drive up here and get me.

Tour de france news: gah where do i start. well as of yesterday ( i have not watched the stage today) lance had moved down in the standings, and the Shlecks have moved into 2nd and 3rd. they are solid riders but contador still reigns in the top spot! GO ASTANA!
today was the time trial..i sure hope Lance was able to move up!

Friends!!

HOME IN JUST OVER 1 WEEK! I CANT WAITT!!

in the mean time this week has been interesting, and fast which is awesome!

Monday night I went out with some friends for a girls birthday..we went to this bar..it was unlike anything I have ever seen haha. I think myself and the 5 girls I was with were the only sober people in there, and to top it off there were people in costumes (but it was not a themed night).one girl wore a moulin rouge outfit..a few more were wearing what looked to be pajamas..and then wore sparkly, fairy wings on there back. It was quite the mix of people but it made for an interesting evening, there were times I couldnt even dance i was so mesmerized by the people and outfits hahaha.

Tuesday night I went to the opening night of Harry Potter, it started at midnight and ended around 2:45am. the movie was not what i expected.. but not bad none the less. I think I was expecting something so wonderful and I kinda let myself down. oh well. lol

Last night I went to geneva house, its the fellowship group at queens for the summer, this is where I get a chance to see all my lovely friends and have a great dinner with good discussion.

Last night we talked about Humilty.. definetly a subject that could be talked about for hours.

One of the girls said it right..not only do we have to humbly give..but to humbly receive. This is something that stuck with me. I have a tendancy to give no problem but cant handle receiving things. something to work on.

anyways..the Tour de france update is as follows...MARK CAVENDISH is the still the fastest cyclist alive and won the sprint stage yesterday..hes amazing. Right now Armstrong is in the top 3 still..within about 8 seconds of the leader. Looking forward to the next few weeks ..especially the time trial..this guy Nicotini needs to be beat...and time trial is where its going to happen.

Im super stoked for the Fiore wedding..less then six months away!! I am supposed to be getting my dress in the mail sometime soon! :)

lalalala love you all,

Heidi

Queens

Ok..so im not really good at this blogging thing, may just be a phase and then ill forget after a while. who knows. lol

Well i have been at queens for exactly 2 months now, and i cant belive how time flies! its crazzy... i just recently moved into my new apartment and i really like having my own space. I have a roommate, she moves in in sept. Looking forward to that! :)

So for now my days are pretty simple..the lab. hahaha I work in the lab all day and then go back to my place, have dinner then normally have a night event planned, wedesdays I go to Geneva fellowship! love it there! monday nights i volunteer at the hospital and then other nights i find something fun to do.

Good times here in Kingston. For anyone around kingston reading this and you want to hang out at any pointt let me know!! :) I am on campus and like to meet people for lunch etc. Hollaaaa!!! :)

The weather is finally starting to co-operate! buttt...the best part is yet to come... I AM GOING HOME IN 2 WEEKS!! i am really excited to sleep in my own bed and enjoy the company of my family and best friends..whom i love so much.

Recent news: Charles and Hillary got engaged! :) and im going to be a bridesmaid as long as I can get the time off lab to go! :) I am excited for them and cant wait till Jan 9th! :)

Next item of business: I love to send mail, and have been writing letters to people as much as i can ..if you happen to read this and want some mail sent to you..just send me your address!! :)

Tour De France update: OK..this is my passion..july is my fav month of the year becuase of the tour!! its amazing and cycling is awesome :)

Anyways today was stage 7..and going into the stage today Lance Armstrong (team Astana) was tied for second with Cancellara (team Saxo Bank) ...Cancellara has been leading since the first day but today things changed. Alberto Contador (also Team Astana) won the stage today, bumping him up into second spot behind Nicotini. Armstrong is currently in 3rd by 8 seconds followed by Astana teammate Levi Leipheimer .Its been a great tour and things always seem to change around this time in the race because they are in the mountains. Most riders are better in the sprint stages but the ones who can do the mountains really shine in the next few days. I am happy for team Astana, they are doing great so far and hoepfully will keep it up!

Stage 8 is tomorrow and they are in the mountains again, we will just have to wait and see what happens!
Levi and Lance leading the race: Stage 7
